Because most Etsy sellers hail from the U.S.A., the site's default currency is the U.S. dollar. However, when you set up your Etsy shop, you can change your settings to accept payments in other currencies. Etsy supports over 20 currencies, including Australian, Canadian, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Singapore dollars; British pounds; E.U. euros; Japanese yen; Israeli shekels; Mexican pesos; Thai baht; and more.
Here's how you set your preferred currency:
While logged in to your Etsy account, click the Your Account link along the top of any Etsy page.
The Your Account page opens.
Click the Shipping & Payment link.
The Shipping & Payment page opens.
Click the Currency tab.
The Shop Currency page opens.
Click the currency you want to use.
If you want prices to round up after they're converted, click the Round Prices option button under Price Conversion Preference. Otherwise, click the Do Not Round Prices option button.
Click the Change Shop Currency button.
